When improving a private house or summer cottage, each owner tries to plant greenery along the fence with various plants and shrubs. They create a cozy atmosphere, prevent the ingress of dust from the road, protect from noise and wind.
Low-growing thuja
An evergreen and unpretentious thuja will decorate any site. It can grow in any soil. Depending on its variety, the tree can be planted both in the shade and in the sun.

Rowan

In the spring, it dissolves openwork green leaves, a little later it is covered with white flowers, which are collected in one bunch. In the fall, orange-rich berries attract the attention of passers-by. And the leaves take on a multi-colored autumn color. With the onset of winter, rowan does not rush to drop its berries. Even after the leaves have flown around, the bright bunches remain hanging.
The only thing that the tree will not refuse is regular watering, but there should be no stagnation of moisture at the roots. Rowan does not like the wind, so hiding it by the fence would be the right decision. The tree is resistant to various pests, so caring for it will be minimized.
Rosehip
Rosehip is considered a relative of the garden rose. It not only looks great, but is also a source of healing fruits. Its berries contain a large amount of vitamin C. At the same time, useful substances are found everywhere: in the roots, berries, leaves, seeds, flowers.
Rosehip feels good in a dark place. By planting it along the fence from the street side, you will not only beautify the area, but also protect your site. The bush's sharp thorns will help make you an impenetrable and thorny hedge.
The plant's roots go deep into the ground, so it does not tolerate wet and swampy areas. Rosehip root system is similar to raspberry.So that it does not grow over long distances, dig a ditch around it 25 cm deep, or dig in pieces of slate to this depth.

Hawthorn
A hawthorn hedge will serve you for decades, besides, it is good for the heart and blood vessels. This shrub is frost-resistant, drought-resistant, shade-tolerant. No wonder they call him "indestructible". But there are still some disadvantages:
- blooms only from 10-11 years after planting;
- unpleasant smell of flowers.
The shrub does not require much maintenance. It is recommended to form its crown as it grows, otherwise it will grow strongly and take up quite a lot of space.
If you follow the above steps, you will get a beautiful and dense plant that will decorate your site for many years. Undoubtedly, the flowers along the fence look bright and attractive, but the shrubs can grow to a considerable height and close your site from prying eyes.
